Clients First is an expert with ERP implementations for the MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) industry. We have been working with the MRO aviation and heavy equipment industry since 2003. Most, if not all, organizations have machinery or equipment that requires regular maintenance. In addition to timely preventative maintenance, repairs and even complete overhauls are sometimes necessary so an asset can produce its’ expected return on investment. An organization can have a tremendous investment in its’ machinery and equipment as well as be dependent on their being available and working at optimal performance. Managing this well is imperative to the success of an organization.

Dynamics 365 Enterprise is now even a better value for businesses with the recent new feature release, Custom Fields. This feature allows any user with security to add custom fields to form windows. I am amazed daily by the depth of Dynamics 365 Enterprise and the constant flow of new features in an already feature rich environment. Now with this latest feature there is very little this solution can not do. In fact we had an all day presentation recently and the prospect had spent the previous day on a SAP demonstration. We got immediate feedback that Dynamics 365 Enterprise was easier to navigate and more user friendly than SAP. Not only was the prospect impressed, but the consulting firm they hired to help them evaluate ERP solutions agreed. The consultant also stated that they were very impressed by the deep functionality of Dynamics 365 Enterprise.

Dynamics 365 Enterprise Cloud vs. On Premise Deployment

One of the most common questions we get from prospects is why should they rent Dynamics 365 in the Cloud/SaaS deployment versus purchasing and installing it on premise. This decision should be based on each individual business, however I will say that at this point more customers are moving to the cloud than they are installing the software on-site. Here are some some reasons to utilize the SaaS version of Dynamics 365 Enterprise for Finance and Operations in the Microsoft Cloud.

January 19, 2018 / 0 Comments / / by Nancy Phillippi

April 10, 2018 marks the end of mainstream support for Dynamics AX 2009. Extended support ends 10/12/21. It is time to start making plans to migrate if you are still on AX 2009. Customers have the option to move to Dynamics 365 Enterprise or maybe even Dynamics AX 2012 R3. If you need help deciding which option is best for your business, please reach out to our team. We are very, very, pleased with Dynamics 365 now. Since there is an on-premise version in addition to SaaS even the most cautious company can be confident that this Nov 2016 release is not on the 'bleeding edge' anymore!

Dynamics 365 Enterprise Mobility in the Warehouse

Dynamics 365 Mobility in the WarehouseDynamics 365 Enterprise for Operations and Finanice (Dynamics 365 E or even shorter, D365E!) is of course written in HTML 5 which means you can access it from any Internet connection, however it's not always the a good idea to overwhelm staff with forms and pages they don't need to see.  D365E has come with a couple of ways around this; Mobile Apps Tool to create your own mobile apps and Dynamics also has many that they are creating and releasing for customers to use or tweak to fit specific business needs.  The Warehouse Mobile App was released in AX 2012 but this app has changed based on new requirements and technology.  This document outlines the differences in these two warehouse apps.
